We welcome all old and new swimmers for our 2008 summer season for the Hackettstown Hurricanes Swim Team. We are looking forward to an awesome swim season together.

The Hackettstown Swim Team has been in existence for over 30 years. Our goal as a parent run organization is to foster your child's love for the sport, in a friendly competitive environment. We hope that your child improves their swimming skills this year, builds their self confidence by being rewarded for their personal best and learns the importance of good sportsmanship.

We will be swimming as one team in two leagues again this year. We will swim in the Penn Jersey(West) League and the Morris County(East) Summer Swim League. Although swimmers choose one of these two leagues to swim in, we will always practice together as one team and go to the Northwest Invitational Meet together.

We are excited to welcome our new coaches this year; Head Coach Kelly Hart, Assistant Coach Heather Smith and Assistant Coach Carly Antonucci. Their dedication and enthusiasm are sure to lead us through another great season.

Our parents association is committed to provide a fun and recreational swim season. As required by the Hackettstown Recreation Commission, each swimmer will swim at least one event each meet and no more than 3 individual events. We will also have unofficial events running during the meet to give swimmers an opportunity to practice a certain event in a competitive atmosphere. We would like to give each swimmer as many opportunities to swim as possible. With this in mind, we ask you to notify the coaches a week before planned vacations or other planned absences in order to give swimmers who will be at that meet another opportunity to swim. It is very difficult to make last minute changes in the meet sheet.
